Prior to establishing the firm, Atty. Tanya was an associate at the Cebu Branch of Angara Abello Concepcion Regala & Cruz Law Offices (ACCRALAW), where she was exposed to general legal practice, focused on litigation, labor, and corporate law. She was also part of the team that handled the accounts of big corporate clients in the power, retail, and construction industry. 

She obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of San Carlos, where she ranked 3rd in her batch. She also worked as a legal intern at Elnar Suello Lape & Associates. Atty. Tanya has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with Certificate in International Studies from the University of St. La Salle Bacolod, where she graduated cum laude.  

Aside from being an active partner in the firm, Atty. Tanya is the Assistant Dean of the School of Law of Sto. Niño Mactan College, Inc. in Lapu-Lapu City, the first and only law school in the province of Cebu outside of Cebu City. She also previously worked as a part-time instructor at the Gullas Law School of the University of the Visayas, where she taught Constitutional Law, Agency, Partnership, and Trusts, and Legal Technique and Logic.

Atty. Tanya is a member of the Cebu City Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines
